- What’s the first rule of the Weed Club? Don’t talk about the Weed Club. Common sense, people. Keep your recreational endeavors off of social networks, because anything posted can and will be used against you. Those “code words” you think are so clever? They’re not.

- If you think the hedgerow behind the dorms would be a smart place to light up, at least make sure the wind is not blowing in the direction of the sidewalk.
- Break only one law at a time. If you’re going to smoke your Mary Jane, make sure you are not violating traffic laws or noise ordinances. Being loud or driving crazy is going to draw attention, which is what you’re trying to avoid.
- Don’t smoke in your car! Your glove compartment, your center console, and for crying out loud, the dashboard, are not ideal storage places for your stash. Your car is the No. 1 place you’re likely to run into law enforcement.
- Always be aware of your surroundings. At night, don’t pass a pipe back and forth in a dark parking lot. That little orange flicker going off every 30 seconds can be seen from quite a distance. Your best bet is a nice little joint. If you happen to be approached, you can always swallow that dude. Whatcha gonna do with that pipe? Busted.

- Smoking inside does not have to be a challenge. Blow into a toilet paper tube stuffed with dryer sheets to mask exhaled smoke. Light some candles. They work. Incense and air fresheners do too; just use something to cover up that smell!
- Keep body spray, Visine, hand sanitizer, and Trident readily available. At all times. This is not an option.
- Look square. Your marijuana leaf t-shirt is real cute with those tie-dye dreads, pierced face, and holed-out jeans, but you are pretty much a walking, talking billboard for pot, fair or not. Stereotypes suck, so if you’re going to break the law, don’t look suspicious while doing it.

- Don’t act high in public. First of all, try to avoid smoking before having to go out in public. However, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Know how to handle yourself. Acting a fool is a sure way to get caught. Act straight. Maybe you could even wait until a later time to be blazed out of your mind.
